Need Information on 580B

I was stoking a fire with 580B Case Backhoe , it started making a clunk noise , I limped it on to trailer and took home . Took seat stand off ,removed plate off top of rear end , a bearing on the ring gear shaft on the left brake housing was loose , up and down motion , I spun the final drive gears and noticed about 9 teeth broken on ring gear . Question is do I have to split the tractor in to. Never had this happen before .

set the hoe off, remove the tin work at the back of the cab is equipped, then you can split it right at the front of the trans between the shuttle, I use the loader frame to support the front half a roll the rear end and trans right out the rear, then it is a easy job to repair, I can split one in about 1 1/2 hours, including removing the hoe
cnt

I am going to try and find a used ring gear and not break the tractor in to . The pinion is worn but all 7 teeth look good , just thinking a used ring gear with a used pinion may match , I don't use the tractor maybe 200 hours a year .

If you go wit ha used ring gear also get he pinion gear that is the one it has been run with or you are likely to be opening it up sooner then later. Just the a ring and pinion on a IH 656 this spring and it was a 25 plus hour job and not at all fun
