Where are the filters located for the transmission oil? One or two filters? Oil used should be special oil for transmisions? We will drain the oil, change filter(s) and want to refill with correct oil. Have 5 gallon cans of oil available at NAPAp>Hydaulic system for the loader and backhoe. Is there a separate reservoir for these two hydraulic systems?
What is the capacity ( gallons ) of oil used in the transmission and I assume the differential uses the same sump for oil

Can't recall where the filters are as I'm a Case 580 guy.
But Dad's older 310 takes about 20 gal of Hy-Trans from JD or others if I recall.

Tom,
That"s a lot of expensive oil. Would imagine the front end loader and backhoe use some of the 20 gallons . The 310A belongs to a friend of mine. My backhoe is a 1957 320 case industrial. My backhoe is all gear no automatic transmission systems. The hydraulic oil for the backhoe and loader have a separate tank.

Thanks for the info
