TD 6 oil pan

My TD 6 is leaking badly from the oil pan area. Do I have to take the spring off to remove the oil pan? Also the spring does not have any arch left in it, how much are they arched and where would be a likely place to find one? Thanks

Darald, I jacked up the engine frame and than blocked it a the spring ends. I was able to get the pan off and remove rods and pistons. Some of the back pan bolts are fun to put back in. oldiron29
