Kubota parts pricing?

Is Kubota parts pricing in line with the other makes, Deere, Car, etc.? Kubota are a fairly small player and few aftermarket parts are avail. for their machines. Some companies sell at cost and make their money on parts. I do not expect something for nothing just in line with the others. I'm looking at a used mini excavator.

Thanks.

I also have a Kubota mini excavator and my experience with it brings me to think parts pricing from the dealer is probably much in line with other Japanese brands which generally means "expensive". I needed a new final drive assembly for mine at one point which would have cost about $4500 from the dealer. I got a new one from an after market dealer in Texas for $2500 which included the hydraulic motor. I was pleased to save $2000. The new unit was made in Italy so it wasn't the splitting image of the one that came off but it fit perfectly and works well...also came with a one year warranty. Some brands of Japanese mini excavators are nearly impossible to find parts for. Mine is a grey market machine so if you go to a Kubota dealer it will be up to the parts person to be helpful or not. Very often a grey market model has an equivalent model (or very close to it) that was made for export and if the part person is helpful they can usually come up with the right part. With a bit of asking around and research it seemed to me that Kubota was a good choice for me and I'm satisfied with the machine for the most part.

I had one. I think their prices are just as high as most other brands. Good thing is if it is not a gray market model you should have good luck being able to get what you need. I went to a local Bobcat dealer and got teeth from them to weld onto my bucket WAY cheaper than anywhere else. But I'm told that's rare at Bobcat ? I don't know ?

All I can see from the auction yard (did not meet reserve price last time) is the Kubota is a lot cheaper than a Deere or Case and will do more work. Kubota's reputation is outstanding around here (Midwest), kind of like Deere was in the 1970's. Just trying to avoid getting burnt too bad. I know there will be something wrong with it. This is just the used equipment on auction lots is.

Thanks for the input.

Been a KUBOTA dealer for over 28 years. I think our parts are priced in line with most other brands and maybe a little cheaper than mother CAT. Do not get too many complaints on parts pricing. My advice is do not buy a grey market machine. Find one that was made for the us market. What size machine are you looking for? E mail open
