TD8E engine coolant filter

Considering installing an engine coolant filter setup on a TD8E dozer (D239 turbo). Not sure if they were ever installed at the factory, where would one go about finding such a kit with installation instructions? Thanks.

Filter housings are pretty much universal and can be picked up from your local NAPA. That said once you find a housing, find a filter with the specs to fit it...........or do the process in reverse if that works out to be easier.

Once you have the pieces, find a port near the water pump, and another somewhere else on the block, 9heater hose connections are good it the machine has any kind of heater)and plumb the filter in between the two. The main thing is you want the coolant to flow through the filter.

Much easier and better to just keep up the
sca charge with additive. Coolant filters
don't filter anything just dose additive to
it

Check with an IH ag dealer. I think they had a kit to install those for the 300 series engines
