1150 case dozer brakes

I have a 1983 case 1150D dozer. There are two slots in the floor plate where the brake pedals would be but there are no pedals or linkage. I was told that for a year or two, on this model, no foot brakes were added. True or false?

I'm sorry. By the serial number it is a 1968 model. Quite a difference but same question.

I don't know about the New Case Machines but all the older Case Dozer/loader had brake pedals , you don't need them , they wear out fast if used instead of the lever steer . If the brakes were pushed in half way the tractor would free wheel down a hill or off a lowboy . I always used the pedals when grading around tight areas in a half to case , make brakes last longer . I have three 450s and two does not have brake pedal on them , I removed the pedals , too mush up keep .
