that serial# is very very low--only 18th one made if you read it right---so Roger got back from the show already?

Yes. He had said later this week so I was surprised when he called and said he was ready to leave to pick it up.

He and I were talking about the serial number being that low. Serial tag on the engine matches the number on the rear end.

Will wait for the pics. Brother's D4 was new in 1944; it came in military paint, but has since been painted yellow.

Quick update. I had the pony running this morning for a short time. The new fuel strainer is defective :x ! Leaks at the shut off shaft both all the way open and closed :x :x ! Can't do anything until next Saturday because we will be out of town for a few days
