On a Case 450 Crawler is it necessary to remove the hydraulic pump to replace the fan belt or if the coupling bolts are removed will the coupling slide on the spline far enough the get the belt between the crank shaft pulley and pump?

I removed the two bolts and you have to pull hard out ward and slip the belt on . I did have a time lining the two bolts into the bolt holes , I did take the left transmission line loose in order to get the two bolts back in and tighten . I tilted the hard nose over for more work area .

No you do not have to move the pump, undo the four 7/16 bolts holding the coupling to the pulley and push the coupling towards the pump, put the new belt over the fan and then through the gap at the coupling,,lace the belt around the pulleys and put the bolts back in the coupling, adjust the belt, job done.
