I have a 175C Dresser Track Loader, approx. 1980 model, need help with adjusting tracks. Any information is appreciated.

Right behind the front idler on the yoke you will find a small hole about the size of a quarter. Take a screw driver clean out the dirt and find the grease fitting. Take a grease gun and apply grease and your front idler should slide out. NOW when new the hole had a cover held in place by tow 3/4 bolts but it would suspect your cover is gone. Five minute job.

Second what JM said. The hole is on the top side of the yoke and if the cover is missing it will fill up with dirt and be tough to find. Take a screwdriver and scrape the dirt buildup away the grease fitting is sitting down in a recessed hole.

You may have to replace that fitting , cats grease fitting has a shaft and you must replace it if the grease zerk is bad or damaged , I don't know about your zerk .

If the track adjuster has to be rebuilt does the idler and track have to be removed. I see you can purchase a seal kit for it.
