After figuring out my crawler, and the new to me backhoe, and repairs to the ol MF 470 loader its about time I got around to getting dirty with this darn excavator.

My question is, the big hydraulic filter in/beside the hydraulic oil tank the only one? Does anyone know off hand if there is another mesh screen/filter on the pump/bottom of tank/or somewhere's else on this?

Figured i'd ask before I drain 400 litres of hydraulic oil lol

Servo pressure should be checked. All functions are controlled by the oil supplied to them by the servo system.

I thought I told you where the filters are before, the main hydraulic filters are under a plate on top of the tank, clean the top of the tank,if its got a round plate with lots of bolts clean around it and remove it,put your hand down in the oil and feel about for the strainer and lift it out,the hydraulics been slow on that machine could mean that its in heavy lift mode, are you sure its in the right mode,is the dash/control panel all intact, can you read the symbols, the electronics are very important as they control the modes, lifting.working etc,if its got a safety lever to block you getting out of the cab when its engaged check that it is working correctly.
