Seized lower bucket pin

I will be removing one hydraulic cylinder off the 4-in-1 bucket on my Cat track loader. The lower pin (2"dia.) that has lots of contact with dirt is seized in place. I'm interested in knowing from those of you that tackle this issue from time to time which procedure works best. To put heat to the two pin mounts would require two torches or you you end up heating the pin as well if it doesn't happen quick enough. Our region is so dry that fire risk at extreme and the machine is in the forest...therefore hesitate using torches (I don't want to be on the news for causing a forest fire). I don't have a portable pin press either. I wish to avoid expanding the end of the pin by too much from a sledge hammer...what would you guys do? Thanks.

Drive it to a safe area and use the torch to heat the boss it will expand and help crack the rust. May have to heat and cool it a few times but it will help

Sure you can use the torch in the bush , just water down the ground and machine before you light the torch and keep pales of water handy . Would be ideal to have a second guy as a firewatch like I do when I'm welding on certain jobs . Whatever you do make sure everything around you is wet before you start .

If the cylinder barrel is not damaged and you just want to reseal it or replace the rod the easiest way to do it is leave the cylinder barrel in situ, stick the teeth in the ground, relieve the pressure, remove the rod eye pin, lift and block it up,remove the hydraulic line and cap bolts, hold on to the rod and have a second person in the seat to gently push the rod out till the cap is clear, stop the engine and loosen the bottom line, take the rod out and put the eye in the draw bar,put the pin in and block up the rod just behind the piston, put two match marks one on the nut and one on the rod, remove the nut, piston and cap.remove the seals and clean everything, keep things clean, replace the seals and reassemble using clean oil to lube the seals,if you have to remove that pin you need a proper driver to shift it,make up a driver by welding a handle to a piece of bar a bit smaller than the pin so a second person can fold it while you hit with a fourteen pounder, protect the eyes in case of splinters, you may need to heat.
