How old would a 555D ford hoe be ?

Go to Machinery Trader.com, click on loaders/backhoes. They list 17 555D's at $14,500-23,500. Years are Circa 1984 to 1995. Good Luck!

New Holland Parts says 9/93-7/96. My 655A is a 1985. Neighbors 555B is very close in age to mine, maybe a year newer. The 555D is a four cylinder engine, probably the same as my 655A.

That is not really good advice... in that what you are seeing there is an INFLATED ASKING PRICE. Go to auction results and see what they are really selling for. I get folks trying to trade in tractors all time and the first thing they say is they are bringing so in so on Tractor House... then I show them auction results and burst their bubble. Maybe my remarks are too harsh sure you can use tractor house to see what they are asking but just be aware those are high price adds.

It would be mid 80's Bruce , apparently they had the fastest hydraulics in their day . I know a guy that dug for pipe lines and he preferred the Ford , Price up here would be 7500 - 10,000 .

I have the same problem and it is the other way too if you try to buy a tractor or implement from some computer guy they tell you they got their price from some online source. I just walk away. Some guy came and wanted to trade a IH model H in on a Ford tractor. I told him I did not need his tractor but would consider it if the price was right. He wanted $3500 for it because that is what he gave someone for it a couple of months ago. He did not get the Ford!
