Finally dried out here in central Michigan enough to move crawler, used cut up logs to move to barn and then switched to short pipe when on concrete-thanks for all suggestions-wife got over it lol- just have to patch all the holes in grass now !!!

Must have been something, dead weight and seized tracks = boat anchor! LOL ! Will it be repaired ? I've heard good things about running tracks like that in water to loosen them up, old type dry chains etc.

Tracks seem free , something internally locked up, started to take down engine, need to get head done and find a parts source for this engine, also looking for a fuel tank and a dash for it.

Neighbor has a IH 500 with similar problems as your 340, here is what we found, most likely the steering/ brake band has rusted to the clutch pack. Loosen the band, tap it down to release the back side from the drum and push the machine backwards. That should free up the band. Although the clutch pack may still be rusted together the machine should now roll.
