L773 NH skidsteer

have a chance to get a 1980's L773 NH skidsteer. Anyone with hands on experience?

I have a 779. I think the 773,775 and 779 are the same frame different motors. I repowered mine with a Thermo King motor best thing I ever did. These machines are louder than modern machines but I use a set of ear phones with a radio inside. I have had mine for eight years or so all I have done to it is have cylinders rebuilt and the repower. It will lift a ton on a pallet pretty easy but the little diesel is a little short on power for pushing dirt. Mine has a two speed but it makes very little difference. I would buy another in a heartbeat. Big Sal

Dad bought a L-778 with a ford industrial gas motor in it in the early eighties. Most used machine on our dairy/hog farm for many years. By the way he still has it in his retirement and swears we are to bury him with it!
