leaking under/bottom water pump

I changed headgasket a while back and ain't put but 10 hours on it and noticed a leak coming from the front of the 207 case diesel engine on my 450B crawler. I removed the rad and fan this morning and it appears it's leaking coolant from the body to timing gear cover o - ring. My question is I have to remove the head to replace this o - ring don't I? ?

No you do not have to remove the head, the water pump and housing are two separate pieces, remove the pump first as there is a secret bolt inside behind the pump holding the housing to the head, remove that and the other bolts and the housing will come off.

I was feeling around in there looking for
anything that shouldn't be there. Didn't
feel no bolt course I wasn't looking for I
e.makes sense tho I don't see having to
take the darn head off to replace the pump
lol....ok, now to find the secret bolt and
figure out how to remove it lol

I think that that bolt requires an Allen key to loosen it,clean the socket out and make sure the key fits in properly so it will not slip.

Yes it is a Allen Head Bolt , I have a 450B also .

I just went back into the shop to look for the hidden bolt and there wasn't anything. So I jiggled the pump and it was loose! I removed the pump and found the O-ring. I removed it, it doesn't appear to be bad but obviously it's leaking.

I'm wondering if NAPA can get an O-ring this size? On the picture it's no.5 I think. If I have to go to town it's a 2 hour drive one way for me to get there but the local NAPA is like 20 minutes away.

Beside the size, is there anything in particular or anything special about this O-Ring?? I know the dealer (2 hour drive)wouldn't have this in stock and I wanna put this ol girl back to work. lol

Thanks for all the help guys! This site and the help I've been getting on here sure taught me a lot and I keep learning more each time!

That o'ring is listed as 3/4 X 1 X 1/8 inch, the Case part # for the o'ring is F62075 which interchanges with Napa's FPG 415,bring the old ring with you to compare, the bolt if it is missing is 3/8 x 16 x 2" Allen screw
