Case 450 won't drive

Won't drive got pressure no driveshaft turning squeals sometime like a clutch slipping then moves md George says fiber ring lost its teeth I'll try to post parts page where is this ring.

The fiber ring with teeth bolts on to the fly wheel , you must pull the torque converter out of tractor , I removed my converter out under , remove transmission belly pan . Case has the new kit for $1,100.00 , I bought the kit. I found out that the special bolts weren't so special , they have holes drilled in them for wiring two together so they don't come loose, think those bolts were over $100.00 , tie wire which were too short $75.00 . What I am saying do some research , buy those new bolts some where else with holes and use regular rebar tie wire and save your self some money . I have three 450 case dozers , talk by phone I can explain better in detail , I don't mind , like too help . [email protected] Bill Clark

You must remove the torque converter , the fiber ring is bolted to the engine fly wheel . It is a pretty simple repair . Take your time and don't get you finger cut or mashed . Take floor plates out , remove drive shaft , remove all lines going to torque converter at converter , remove belly pan , remove converter line on bottom . On back side of engine cowl remove bolts holding torque converter fly wheel housing . I used a rope to secure torque converter as it weights around 146 lbs. You will have wiggle it loose to remove , I removed my torque converter under . It really is a two man job . (502) 314-6435 Bill Clark

I have a 450B which I pulled the torche converter , was quite a job. . There are two threaded holes in the torche converter to pull away from the engine. Replace a bolt on each side of the engine.I used about 4 inch bolts. These will be used to slide the torche converter back on. I placed a short length of chain at the top to hook to .I used two of the holes at the top of the tourche converter for this. ( be sure it will not come off no matter what) You have to twist and wiggle the torche converted to lower it down. I used a come along to lower mine . there is only about 1/32 inch clearance on each side when it is twisted to the correct angle. very hard to get the angle.Everything is in the way. After pulling it about 4 times I could do it in 2 hours with everything pulled back out of the way

The first time was to repair it . Didn't notice or it cracked when I put it back together that made the second pull. Bought a used one it leaked that made the third pull got another one replaced it. it was leaking also. Was leaking around bolts sealed them and that made the fourth time to pull it. The last time I put air pressure to it to check for leaks.About 10 psi

Sometimes when my hydraulic level is low in the tranny it'll squeal....i'm sure you checked that already tho
