Oliver HG Crawler/Dozer - Transmission

Hello,
I recently picked up a '51 HG-42 and the transmission
shift forks are rusted frozen in second gear, can't move the machine
except for dragging it, which I am not going to do....

I am trying to get prepared for tearing into this and
rebuilding the transmission. I have had great success
with Evapo-Rust from Harbor Freight for removing rust on
steel parts. My plan is to take the Transmission apart,
replace all of the bearings, Evapo-Rust the gears, internal
case, etc.

If anyone has experience in taking the final drives off/apart
and the transmission apart, I would appreciate any insight you
can provide. I also ordered a replacement shift fork assembly, not knowing if I will be able to get the forks free. I have an OC-3 manual...it seems to be a straight
forward process.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary
