Number 10 caterpillar patrol serial number help

Hello, I need some help with a serial number on a number 10
patrol. I'll post a picture of the serial tag that I found. Is this
serial tag meaning that it's the first number 10? Any help
appreciated!

I would say it's the first one. Series 2K--#1 Probably when they started building with drive engine and not pulling with a dozer. Guess early 30's.

Yup,#10 Auto Patrol (tandem drive) s/n #1 SP (special parts.
Built 1937-1939
D4400 engine, same as RD4/D4.

Hey guys, thanks for helping me out clarify that. The SP end of the serial number meaning special parts-what would this consist of? The grader has a mid mount ripper on it-that's the only thing I can see as far as special parts. I don't mean to sound dumb but is that what it means?

The "SP" is usually something deep in the machine on assembly, most often applies to gear options.
