I changed the primary and secondary fuel filters and now I can not get fuel to the injectors. Is there a manual pump to prime the fuel pump? If not do I continue to rank the engine until fuel is the injectors? I took the cap off the end of the line to the injectors and tried to get fuel.

Thx

Don't think there's a primer on that system, last one I worked on I took the line loose at the pump inlet to make sure all air was out of filters. A full fuel tank will help. Then with the lines loose at the injectors crank until you see fuel at each one to bleed the air out of lines. Once that's done it should start after all lines are retightened..

another trick to save a lot of cranking is to clamp an old inner tube with valve over the fuel tank inlet--pressurize to around 5 psi and it will push fuel thru the whole system

If fuel does not flow down hill by gravity there is a reason for it,the way to go about changing the filters is turn off the fuel, remove the two filters, turn on the fuel and it should flow from the bottom filter,if not there is a restriction in the outlet from the tank or line, check the vent, clear the restriction, put on the bottom filter and turn the fuel on,when the filter fills put on the top one, open the bleed screw and wait till air free fuel comes through, close the bleeder, the injector pump is supposed to be self bleed,it has a small vane type transfer pump to pull fuel from the tank and pressurize the hydraulic head so it is important that the bleed screw is tight so it will not draw air there,if you want to bleed the pump loosen the return line from the top cover and the fuel should flow,if not take the elbow off and give it a blow, the more fuel in the tank the easier to bleed, there is no manual priming pump.if still no go loosen each injector pipe on the side of the injectors a couple of turns, crank the engine over till it spurts fuel, tighten the nuts and start.
