Cat 10 auto patrol

Hello everybody,
Recently I was approached by somebody who has a couple
old number 10 patrols. They both have cabs (wood). They are
a 1936 and a 1934. They are both single axles, and 1 runs,
the other doesn't but they are both complete. I don't have a
whole lot of information on them yet but I will update when I
find out a little more. Has anybody seen any of these sell
lately? I haven't seen any sell in this area( southeast South
Dakota) ever so I'm curious what they are worth. Obviously
it's hard to tell without pictures so I will try to get some as
soon as I can. If anybody has anything or any tips to look for
when I go look at them that would be great. I am fairly new
around the graders. Thank you for your help

They might be old enough, and if the wooden cabs are nice, original, its possible to have collector interest. It seems many of the later grader models are common and won't command high dollars, so depending on condition and what may have survived as far as the cabs, those are not common. I've seen a scant few over the last 15 years, last one was on a crawler a bit older, set up for snow removal by a township in Maine, and someone from Minnesota, who is a collector bought it soon after it was listed. It was well kept and original, with a wooden weather cab. Apples to oranges as to graders and crawlers but if these are in similar shape, its very possible a collector would have some interest. Get some photos, post here or go over to the ACMOC or ACME forums for antique caterpillar machinery, it should be helpful in answering that question. I don't believe these to be super rare, but they are not as common as later models. Get the serial numbers off them and see what you can find out, it will help you determine the age and model, if they have a data tag or serial tag somewhere. On the old tractors, they had brass plates and at some point the serial number was stamped in under where the tag or data plate would be.
