I have a late 60s early 70s Pettibone Multihoe Backhoe Model LDF. Not even sure the exact year. I need a tie rod end. Does anyone have any idea where i can find one for this particular machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Everywhere i have searched i have had no luck. It seems almost impossible to find parts for something this old but she still digs great i need to figure something out. Thanks in advance!!!!

That part is a steering arm , , take out the broken end and get it welded by a pro. welder . DON"T try to weld in place !

That arm looks like its cast,I would be more in favor of fabing up a new one than weld that esp if the machine ever goes on the highway,a decent piece of quality steel like a piece of cutting edge cut to shape with a large bolt welded to one end to go in the stub axle and a hole in the other for the knuckle would work.

Cast, but probably cast steel and weldable. I'd weld it, but then I'm a skinflint.

Another alternative would be to remove the arm, knock out the broken piece from the axle, find a H/T steel bolt the same diameter and suitable length, doctor the bolt so it fits the hole in the axle, cut the width of the bolt head from the arm square and weld the arm to the bolt head in the correct position,to try to weld the bit that is broke off back in place would be very weak as any weld put on would have to be ground off, using the bolt you will be able to get a good run and leave it,see the little sketch.
