TD 6 injector pump

My 1944 td6 starts on gas then I cannot control the rpm when switched to diesel, engines runs above governor speed. Any ideas?

Sounds like the governor is froze up

Where exactly is that located and what works to free it up?

inside the injection pump... disassembly.

Not something considered laymen repair. Governor is stuck or springs off. Going to have to take the injector pump apart.

Is the governor located at the front or rear of the pump? By the way,thanks for the responses.
