JD 120c track tensioner how to release

Anyone know how these little buggers work? There is a grease zerk in the 45 adapter. The 45 adapter seems to be a swivel as you can't remove it it just turns and turns. There is a bigger 24mm hex bushing that the grease fitting is installed in that also just spins.

I've only put tracks back on a dozer and a mini ex and they had separate drain with a plug and a grease nipple to fill. No spinning stuff, no valves etc. Manual contains no info.

You have to loosen the 24mm valve body a few turns, the whole assembly is turning now,see the idler has not come forward, push it back with the bucket to stop it turning or jam it and loosen the valve,it is the valve that has to be loosened a few turns to let out the grease, there are a few different types of filler/release valves, that type is common to excavators.
