Easy start for Cat 60

Saw this at a tractor show. Small engine geared down to turn the 60 engine. Much safer than the bar in the flywheel.

Good idea! Those old pup start motors were so short lived in comparison to the rest on those well built machines. Electric starters brought a sigh of relief.

The 60 never had a'pup" motor and couldn't put an electric start on one.This guy did a nice job of putting this starter togeather.

i know a guy using the primer cups and his foot started his with spinning the flywheel just right to start it. i think theres a vid of it on youtube.

here he is trying, but going to the bar after a bit. normally he gets it fired easy with his foot. i seen it numerous times.
