Where did you find this ih crawler-I live west of Detroit and haven't seen this one for sale ? You said you also found a case 310 where was this at ?? bob

I got this one from the thumb, I have been keeping an eye on cl on an off but I checked most of the state doun to ft wayne, IN columbus, OH

I happened to be browsing aprox 1 h after it was posted, saw it in person the next day by lunch, before the sun set it was on my property and transaction complete about 24 hours after it was posted.

there are lots of dozers that have been listed for a long time and they will never sell, mostly owners value them more than anybody else and they should die and be buried with them, for example there is a jd 350 in bellevile for 15k supposedly fully restored and while the owner may be as deep into it that is his owm mistake 15k can get you a helluva dozer, I am not picking up his debt

there are a couple case to be had for about 3k, one has a funny blade setup you have to look in ann arbor/jackson area, those are gas powered and while gas is cheap these days I don't fancy gas motors on pulling equipment so I never considered them, I think they are smaller and not as powerfull and looks like 2 way blade.

I was about to go look at a JD350 somewhere north of GD rapids look in central MI there is a dealer they have a few cheapies, another Maqssey up north no clue what it is exactly, a jd 450 and couple other large ones about 7-8k, too large for what I wanted, and mind you this is all old Iron weather the owner is aware of it or not, they all need work, more than some own up to.

this one I got was advertised 50% tracks, my left nut, they were trash 20 years ago and they were ragged on since, I would have gladly paid full asking price had that been the case, seller was motivated and when it got down to it it was cheap enough to take a gamble, I knew tracks and UC parts are hard to come by but it had a full hydraulic 6 way blade figured that would make it worth screwing with.

the jd 350 in GD rapids, has a 6way but only up and down is HYD, I am still second guessing that one, look up rock and dirt, SI sales, lots of pics tracks looked decent I could have done some work already, and I really don't need to make a project out of getting the equipment for the project I have, but that blade suckered me to get it, I almost wanted to turn and burn when I saw those tracks, I would have certainly not have made the trip had I known otherwise, all in all I am ok with it in my price raNGE THIS WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH 6WAY hyD AND WHILE i WILL STIll end up with 8k or so into it by than it will be a decent dozer, it has other issues too but mostly knick nacks, I am a wrench head and never had anything nice so a lot of stuff that most would stay away from to me is normal, but tracks I was hoping to stay away from, oh well, guess I'll do this in my life time too

Too bad my dad hasn't made up his mind about
his yet. He bought a 500 a year or so ago very
cheap with 6 way blade and probably 90% UC.
Has the torque converter drive and rear ripper.
He bought it from an old boy that used it on his
driveway and he told my dad he was pushing
dirt and something made a pop and it quit
moving, doesn't know what it was. In the
probably 25 years since that happened, 10 or so
in the old guy's mind, the little BD154 has
seized up. Dad likes his little crawlers, so he's
bound and determined to fix it someday, but he
couldn't let it pass for the price. He figure if it
was junk, he would use the blade and such on
his TD340. Too bad it wasn't a TD6, dad has
one with BRAND new UC with a cracked head or
bad head gasket, the links are starting to kink
up from setting. Has an Oliver HG and a couple
sets of tracks for those too.

hey maybe pops is getting old, what is your excuse, I read about those dam dogs on the HYD pump, that may be whats wrong with it, sad part it 25 years ago you could probably buy a dozen for a dollar, hear they are unobtanium now

,
mike K I'm still waiting to hear from you, you have my email and phone numbers and you're close enough, I want to see what you have, condition, etc.

my JD dealer also handles parts for Komatsu an he is looking to match something up, preferably a more modern set that is widely available, even considered ordering them from China from the manufacturer, they make everything in China,

Good thing is, I looked it over well before dad
bought it from the old boy and all that stuff is
really in great shape. For less than the price of
scrap though, dad couldn't pass it up. Also
bought a 410 straight JD backhoe for a little
over the price of scrap. The old boy finally
decided at 87 yrs old that he wasn't going to get
around to fixing it, and he liked my dad, and
wanted my dad to get the stuff to go with the
rest of my dad's " collection " lol.
