What is the weight of 60's vintage 580 ck backhoe with diesel eng. ?? Looking if a 14,000 gvw trailer would handle it ? No cab.

Yes I believe a straight 580 weights around 10,000 lbs . I have a 580B with out the front weight and it weights about 9,500 lbs.

My mid 60s 580CK and hoe weighed around 10,600 lbs. in total.

Are you buying a 580CK? I ask because I've got a full set of tech and parts manuals for the tractor, loader, and backhoe I'd like to sell.

This is what I've got. $65 for all plus
shipping if you want them. I just stuck them on
Ebay for $150 but not real serious about the
price.

580 CK tech manuals are Jensales reprints and
like new. Factory parts book # 966 for 33 and
33S backhoe and 33 loader has dirt smudges on
cover and some pages (130 pages). Factory 580
Construction King tractor parts book #F971 is
in a ring-binder with a few small
tears,smudges, and some pages that have the
ring-binder holes torn (200 pages). Factory
parts book # 966 for 33 and 33S backhoe and 33
loader # F966 is not in a three-ring binder,
but needs to be. Many pages falling off and a
few torn (382 pages)

Thanks but I have manuals- my parts book does not show a rops or a cab option-are they in a newer edition ??

I have the same trailer an it weighs 3700 llb empty , so with that hoe loaded your maxed out . You need a heavy truck because a guy up here was fined pulling the same thing with a 1 ton

Is he licensed for 26,000 lbs. my trailer also weights 3,700 lbs , three axels , tongue hitch . F350 Ford with dual wheels .

My 1 ton truck is rated to haul 12,500 lbs so it would be real close.
