Any chance somone may have a diagram or breakdown of the T-340 front idler? I think I have found oil seals that will fit it. It's the bushings and other internal parts I need to know about.

I have ordered the parts manual for it but it will take two weeks to get here. This is the from the right track, if that makes any difference.

The machine shop in town has my idler right now so they could repair it but they do not know what it is supposed to even look like because all the pieces are so badly worn or not even there anymore. If I can take them a diagram showing what pieces go where, that would really help and I'd like to get them working on it this week before my manual gets here!

Thanks for your help!

We finally found a Komatsu dealer that still has a book for this old crawler! I had understood that Liugang bought the Dresser/IH part from Komatsu back in 2012 so I didnt expect them to be able to find it.

I am posting the images that they sent us because I am certain others may have the same trouble as me somewhere down the line. :D

If everything is worn as you say on the front Idler, I don't think those expensive seals will fix it, on mine the Idlers both flopped side to side, the casting was wollered out where bushings went. I straightened holes up got the bushings from Motion Industries. (1 1/2") I. D. by 1 1/2" long. standard is 1/8" thick, i had to get some of them thicker to make up for hub wear. Then i drilled thrue hub next to spokes and thrue bushing & installed grease zerk on each side. Grease will stay in there a lot longer than 90 wt. oil. i rebuilt all my rollers like this. had to repair 3 shafts also. on bottom rollers i welded up oil holes on shaft & drilled through center of shaft and drilled through to center where bushings run & installed grease zerk where oil plug went. If you have the early style front idler with the spring loaded seals, I have a NOS front idler available. Check your casting number and get back to me if interested. Steve. www.sadygerts.com

Do you mean this ilder that is listed on your website? http://www.sadygerts.com/shop-parts/uncategorized/t340-td340-idler-nos/ I finally was able to get the website to work... it kept giving me an error saying that visitors from my country were not permitted to view the website?

That looks just like it... how much do you want for it?
