question about Komatsu D41s undercarriage

I'm going to look at this loader Sunday. Does anyone know what the chain pitch is supposed to be on these machines? In this pic the idler seems to be adjusted way out close to the end. But I don't know much about these machines, and don't know if you measure these SALT chains the same way as you would the old dry pins/bushings? Any help would be appreciated.

JM, I think my brother sent you some pics of the undercarriage. Thanks for all your help answering our questions about these machines. I don't know if he asked about the pitch/pin bushing wear?

I'v got the pitch as 6.906 inches, link height 102 mm,pitch over four links ie five pins center to center, new 702mm, 25% worn 706mm,50% worn 710mm,75% worn 715mm, 100% worn 721mm,the idler does appear to be a bit forward, the pads look to be down to the bolt heads, other than that it is a nice clean machine from what is shown in the picture, they are a good loader.

SALT is acronym for Sealed And Lubricated Track and is referring to the track chain, the bushings where the pins go are filled with oil and sealed to prolong the life of the pin and bush.

Thanks AJ, that's just what we needed. The pads do
worry me. In pics from other angles, they look a
little better, not quite down to the bolt heads, but
not far from it.

The pads can have new grouser bar welded on if need be,have a look at the idlers and rollers, the undercarriage is a crucial factor when buying, that machine looks like it's been well cared for,see how it pushes and steers etc.
Good luck.
