Interstate revisted

Forum Members,
Got the boiled Interstate MT 35 back on Friday. Was billed $10.00 for the testing and charging. Installed it and started the car yesterday when it was at the same temp when I was having trouble. It spun the engine over like new!! They charged it at 10 amps direct for a long period of time, hours. Had to cool it down before I could take it home. Not sure of the dynamics of boiling, but it seemed to work. Any one else have this done and it worked? Thanks for the input.

Glad you are up and running again, hope it stays that way as by what you are saying indicates the vehicle charging system has an issue or something in the vehicle is draining the battery, the alternator would put out over 50 amps after start up and after about 10 minutes running have the battery fully charged, put the volt meter on the battery, check the reading, start the engine and go to about 1500 rpm, note the reading,it should be above 14.5 volts if the alternator is good,if its lower something is amiss.

AJ,
I do not believe there is an charging system problem. I can tell after the car starts the dash lights flicker just slightly after it has run for a bit. Wish more vehicles had a volt meter in the dash. Chevy has it, why not Toyota?? When Goodyear "boiled" the battery it was an unregulated 10 amp charge for hours. May try this "boiling" at 10 amps on some other batteries. Do you think it would work on a deep cycle Trojan 6 volt I have at the cabin? The deep cycle is part of the "off grid" Wincharger 6 volt lighting system. Any and all thoughts welcome.
