Backhoe hydraulic valve acting up.... Drifts one way when
driving and swings very slow with no power the other way. One
stabilizer comes up very slowly, the other drifts when trying to
pick up tractor to dig. I am assuming valve rebuild.... Any
thoughts on cost if I remove the valve body myself?? The
levers have full travel and are not binding.

Considering there are only a few O-rings and seals the replacement cost should be minimal. Especially if you go through an aftermarket supplier for the parts. Steve. S.A. Dygert's

I'm more inclined to check cylinder packings.. Maybe a piston nut has come loose.. in one or more.. If any were repacked, chances someone left a packing nut loose or neglected to tighten to torque specs.. Rubber rings and such in a valve aren't going to make something drift unless it's a seal on a relief valve or check valve..
