Dresser 3964 excavator

Need help finding swing motor for this machine. I believe drive motors are the same as the swing so if you know where to find one that wood be appreciated. Greg
 
Greg That thing is kinda a one of a kind . Only place I know of that has parted one is H & R Parts Buffalo NY 855 549 3289 HRPARTS.COM Think they can help you if you have enough on the hip.
 
Thanks, a friend just bought it and I was trying to help him find one and like you said it seems to be one of a kind. The original motor is laying in the dirt next to the machine and previous owner didn't think it could be rebuilt. Greg
 
Motors can be repaired,has a proper experienced equipment mechanic looked at it,if its shot get all the numbers off it,there's one 3964 been dismantled on Machinery Trader at the link below.

AJ. I called about the IH 3964B and parts guy said no motors. No hydraulic experts have looked at this machine. The previous owner said he was using it and the motor made a horrible sound and quit working. He pulled the motor and that was at least a year ago and that is where it sits. The engine is IH and looks clean. Greg
 
I would be looking at the motor and see what's wrong with it,if the drive shaft is still there it would encourage me,the motor looks like it could be Linde but I am not sure as I only going from a bad pitcure,if the motor has jammed up it could be the brake that is the problem,has the hydraulic filter been looked at for metal,go over to Red Power the IH site someone there may know a source for bits.
