i have a set of tracks that came off of a mt/420 crawler. just wondered what they would be worth at scrap price. anyone have a ball park figure. thanks norm

If they are wore out you can expect to get whatever scrap iron is selling for. The prices vary from location to location.
You state its an MT; the MT was the tricycle version of the M family of tractors.

Years ago I use to mess with the small John deere crawlers. From what I remember the bo lineman was the first folllwed by the MT, 40, 420, 430, 440 MODELS. Around 1950 to 1960. These tracks came with a early model 40 parts crawler i bought but the pads are the same as shown on the mt crawlers. the track itself isn't any good. some pads are still on it but I think the chain is scrap. pads might sell. guess ill hold on to them for awhile. thanks norm in missouri

You are correct in stating that the first JD crawlers were the Lindman track setup. and when JD bought them out they started to build the MC, crawler, not the MT, the MT was the tricycle version of the M family of tractors.
There were the basic M; MI; MT;and the MC. One could get the MT in a adjustable wide front end.
The crawler was called an MC.
