TD6 and HD3 compatibility ?

Forum Members,
Track questions again!
Are TD6 International and HD3 Allis tracks compatible if the pin/link distances are the same or is there a hidden spec I am not aware of? According to Crawler Heaven they have basically the same wear distances. If it is a fit they may be much more reasonable than the HD4 tracks. Any and all help is appreciated.

They are too wide. You can use Cat D3 track group but must weld D3 sprocket rim on . Number of links depends on how many you have originally

C,
I have not seen the tracks as they are in northern Minnesota at a salvage yard. I tried to get more info on the TD6 on line and had little success. Are they more than 14 inches wide? Currently the originals are 12 inches wide. Any and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

Mr T when he says too wide it is not the overall like pad width he is talking about. The chain is too wide. Would not fit down in you AC roller. I have a berco undercarriage book with all dimensions I will do some more checking as soon as I get to where the book is. I know AC undercarriage is getting hard to find.

Have you checked out the rail dimensions on John Deere 350 (year could could be a factor, I'm not a J D man)? I believe the pitch is the same but the bolt pattern for the pads are different. Not sure of the width of the rail to match the rollers. If you find it would match up you have really broadened the availability.

John Deere crawlers never used anything close. Case 450B uses a track with the same pitch as the AC HD3, H3, H4, HD4, etc. So does the IH TD340, 500, TD7, etc. Deere made/makes one pitch for small crawlers. It was used for 420, 430, 440,1010, 2010, and 350s. Not a close match for the AC track chain. Too small. Next Deere chain up is for 450, 550, and 555 and it's too big.
