AJ:Is there an easy way to back off the brakes on a model 807. It decided to stop running in the middle of my yard and it's a big obstruction now. I brought the pump to a repair shop in Duluth where fellow said it would be fixed in 2 weeks, took six weeks. the inside of the head was kind of rusty so the pump did not meet the required pressure on the test apparatus but the mechanic thought it would be able to start the machine, no go. So back to the shop-that was six weeks ago and now the temp is going to drop and soon I won't be able to start anything to pull the machine out if the way. Thanks, Udo

There is no easy way,we used to release the track brake when we were replacing the swing ring gear with a porta power pump hooked into the brake release lines,if you haven't got that you could remove the covers from the final drives and pull out the quill shafts, you could also remove the brake assemblies,no easy way except if you have enough power pull it gently with the tracks locked they will slide along like a sledge.
