Hey guys -
I've located this 580CK in NE Iowa. Not shown in the link, but this machine is set-up with a 540 pto and the rock-shafts for a three point, but no lower arms or drawbar. The optional three point hitch and associated frame for this machine are seemingly hard to find (googling for hours), but the dealer's dad has a Case "eagle hitch/drawbar" off a Case 530 row-crop which he states will bolt right up for an additional $500. I'm interested in this machine because as I stated in an earlier post I like the idea of a seriously heavy duty loader, the capability of backhoe use occasionally/rarely, and the practicality of a three point for farm use (moving snow, haying, etc.). What do you folks think of this machine? Is it a bad idea to think of this as a utility tractor with the extra of a backhoe for the same price as a utility tractor? I'd like to use it to push snow but am worried about lack of traction if I take the hoe off - which i'd like to do so i could mount a rear blade...also, do these "eagle" hitches really accept typical cat 1 implements or what? sorry for all the questions but I have very little experience with heavy equipment. Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to offer; i sincerely appreciate your guys' expertise!
