I have a reverser with the forward spider gear damaged. It looks like it is hard to find one. I was wondering if the gear itself can be pressed on the clutch assembly rather than buying the whole spider assembly? Thanks, Ken

There is NO forward gear. Not sure which gear you mean. When the reverser is in forward - the input shaft locks to the output shaft. No gears doing work. The front input-shaft/clutch-drum has a gear on it but it's used for reverse. If that's the one mean - it's part of the drum assembly. Not a separate part according to my memory (that is sometimes a little off). The path of power when in reverse is from the gear on the front input-shaft/hub-assembly, then to the reverse counter-shaft (with two separate gears) and then to the gear on the reverse drum on the output-shaft.
