Need help with an old 931

I had a new customer call me this morning with problems with the 3204 engine in an older 931. The machine is a 78U 1374, and he said the engine was a 45V prefix, but he didn't have the complete number with him.

What I'm running into is trying to find any info on the older, precumbustion 3204 engine -vs- the 3204 direct injection version.

The main thing I need to know right now is if it has the same injectors as say a 3304, or whatever, so I can insure I have an adapter to be able to check compression on it. I know he wants me to change the nozzles so the 'injectors' will already be out making that an easy way to do things. Just as good would be if someone knows what size the glow plugs are so I can make or buy an adapter to let me check compression that way. In any case the machine is an hour and a half, to two hours away so I don't want to show up without the right tools to do what I need to do.

Beyond that, given what I have been told so far, I may wind up having to pull the head. That being the case, if it comes to that, I will also need the torque specs for the head, as well as the valve lash.

Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated. My email is open. Thanks in advance.

The early 3204 has the the precombustion chamber like 3304,the later direct injection ones had the injectors under the rocker cover.
