D7F Undercarriage

Got a D7F I put a 150-200 hrs a year on it doing my own work good usable machine but my undercarriage is getting worn out I don"t know if I can justify a new one. Has anyone ever bought a used set of pads & rails. Also where would be a place to look? I"m in south central Iowa.Thanks

A decent used undercarriage can be had and should work just fine in an application such as yours. The best places to look are equipment salvage yards. One that is here local to me is Iron Peddlers. They pretty much specialize in used and aftermarket CAT parts. Online sites like The Equipment Trader, Rock and Dirt, and others have used parts sections where machines being dismantled are listed. Typically the tracks on your machine will fit several other machines as well, and places like that will know where all to look.
