we bought a nice 1450b an hour in it would stall, then go. between shifts.. trans
pressure was 0, then would come up. fluid was low. changed filters
and fluid, ran good for hour, then wouldn"t push, will move back
and forth. will work again for hour, then repeat, any ideas?

Rotten luck that after buying it,can the previous owner shed any light on the problem,it sounds as the transmission charge system is losing pressure and regaining it again,in case the transmission breather/s is blocked try it with the dipstick loose,as I recall there was a suction filter on the line between the transmission housing and the pump, that filter will need looking at to be sure it's clean,I think it was washable, also the suction line itself for damage or loose connections where it could draw air, there is a relief valve under a plug to the left of the charge pump that could be sticking, thing like that would remain stuck, could be the pump is worn and loses its prime as the oil warms up,does this machine have a spin on cannister transmission filter or an element?.

Replaced charger pump, and all the filters including suction and one in belly, it was pretty clean, replaced all fluids,, still doing the same thing. Charger pump was used because they do not make a replacement anymore? any other ideas? Works like a champ cold, twenty minutes it hesistates between directional shifts, 45 minutes wont" push in high range, 1 hour, wont push in any range. trans pressure is good cold, but flucauates with rpm increase. then drops to zero on directional shifts hot, then comes back,, after an hour it is pegged at zero and won"t come back.

Those machines with multiple clutches are a nightmare, the whole drive train depends on oil pressure to keep the clutch engaged and the machine driving, check the modulator valve and any other relief valve, next time it stops pushing look down through the floor boards and see if the drive shaft is spinning, have you got a service manual,if not you can look up the parts catalog on line at the link below,go to the link.first page opens, top right click Find parts by model, new page.type in 1450B and hit enter, the machine appears below, click on it and the sub sections shows.you need power train and go from there.
