Injectior pump on this dozer has fuel to supply line .Fuel to return side and no fuel to injector lines coming out of pump. I have pumped on the foot pedal, loosened the lines at the pump and at the injectors and still no fuel will come out of the pump lines. Tank is full and all lines are open. What am I missing?
Thanks for any help.

My 500c had a foot pedal that was a decelerator pedal---have you opened up the throttle control??
also an easy way to bleed is to fit an old inner tube over the fill cap and pressurize to about 5 psi or so.

What the reason, did the machine stop of its own accord, did you stop it and it will not start again, has the machine been parked for a while, were you servicing the fuel system,if you have bled the air from the injector pump at the return line on the pump keep priming the feed pump till the lever goes limp, slacken the three injector pipes on the side of the injectors not the top, with the controls in the run position, throttle fully open crank over the engine till fuel spurts from the pipe unions, tighten the pipes and try to start, avoid using starting fluid,if you have already tried that come back and say what happened as there is a big difference if it stopped on its own or some other reason.

Machine has sat for about two years. Fuel line broke while it was operating. Repaired fuel line. Got the 12 volt inline fuel pump (previous owner installed this) working. Had to replace starter. Have opened supply fuel line till I got good fuel Opened return and got fuel. Opened the injector lines, no fuel. Tried leaving the inline fuel pump running while cranking unit. Still no fuel. Checked the on off cable. Hitting the stops like it should. Could the pump bypass the fuel like it would if the on off cable was in off position? Have not tried the inner tube trick yet. I do have a tube. Thanks for the responses.

Are you saying that the fuel line broke and the machine sat for two years and now you are trying to start it,it would be my guess that the fuel metering valve is stuck in the stop position, there is no direct connection inside the pump for the stop or throttle, the governor is in between and springs are used to move the internal controls, once you have a good flow of fuel flowing through the pump that is all that's required, rotary pumps have a small vane type pump to feed the hydraulic head with fuel at the correct pressure, see what make of pump you got,Bosch was standard but some people changed them to CAV,work the stop control a few times, put it in the run position with the throttle on full, give it a sharp tap some where that won't damage it,the casing is crap alloy so don't hit it with a sledge, then try it again,if it does not start take it off and to the fuel injection shop for repair.
