Easiest way to remove a bushing?

I need to remove the bushings for the clutch arm that are inside the cases on my 931B. The shop suggested heating it up with a torch and letting it cool. I can take a cutting torch and heat it but wondering if running a bit of weld on it would be easier? I know the welding is the cats meow on bearing races.

Are they in blind holes?

If so, select the right size tap to thread the bushing. After the tap hits the hole bottom it will lift the bushing out of the bore.

I have pulled many seals and bushings with a Snap On seal puller.
I have also made a heaver version for tough items.
You probably know what I am referring to but you can goggle "Snap On Seal Puller".
