My nephew wants to scrap an old crawler that belonged to my late brother. Its a small dozer with a 4cyl gas motor. the only marking I can find is on the rear drive sprocket and it says terratrac .From looking on internet it could be an American Tractor Dozer.
It would be a shame to scrap this thing, maybe someone could use it for parts.
Could someone help me identify this thing ?

Don't know much about them myself, but take a look at the link. There are a lot of pics of some of the old dozers, maybe one of them will be what you've got.
Classic dozers

You shouldn't have any trouble getting rid of that for much better than scrap, unless you're way out back of the beyond somewhere...
Briefly, from scribbled notes, American Steel Dredge built and sold them as ATC (American Tractor Co) and/or ATECO (American Tractor & Eqpmt Co before marketing them as Terratracs...
Americans and Treeatracs had models with GT-numbers and numbers only from 100-1010 or so, all but one or two gas, all with Cont'l engines...As already mentioned, Case bought, continued for awhile before adding models and Case engines, probably upgrading as well...

The president of Terratrac engineered a merger with Case and ended up as president of Case. His wife was a stock broker. Together they manipulated the price of stock, sold all their stock and left the country. Case was again forced into bankruptcy, from which they never fully recovered before being taken over by Tenneco.

I always thought the Terratrac was a lovely looking tractor, found a few pictures of them.
