Changing angle on C Frame angle dozer

I am lucky to be able to borrow a TD15 this weekend for a bit of fun on a road. I have done a lot of internet search on how to easily change the angle on the manual blade, and I get nothing. Its just going to be me alone, can anyone give me pointers on how to change angles. What side to unpin first, etc. I cant get interent info on it.

If its a C-frame, to the track frames, as was typical, though I know nothing of TD series IH, you would seemingly, un-pin both sides, these were usually balanced, so just swing it to the side you want, re-pin it. I am aware that some of these may have had Bucyrus-Erie manufactured dozer kits, those were telescopic, tube or hollow frame if you will, but the same principle applies, can't be too difficult, you won't likely find any information on the web except places like here, Red Power, ACMOC, ACME antique caterpillar forums and similar, post a photo, it would make answering your question a whole lot easier. The manual angle on the 7A blade on my D7 caterpillar, is literally just unpinning each side and swinging it into place, then re-pinning it in the new position, the blade is balanced and is easy, do watch your hands, feet, fingers and anything or anyone nearby, these are heavy components, just something to know, do not ever get under that blade for any reason, unless its blocked up correctly with hard wood cribbing that cannot roll over while the weight is bearing on it, and or secured in place with heavy chain, wire rope, both of appropriate size and in good condition, not compromised in any way. Mine is cable operated and all it would take would be one dumb move and that's a lot of weight to consider being on you or part of you or whatever, be safe when doing this.

Well if it is 40 years old and wore out knock out the little lock pins and go for it but more than likely it has never been angled and you will spend all weekend trying. There is a reason the industry went away from those things. LOL Good luck and don,t get hurt.
