Case 450 Chain tensioner seized

The slack adjuster for my right side track seems to be seized. I removed the check valve and put a come along on it and it wouldn"t move.
I put it back together and installed a new zerk fitting but she won"t take grease.

Anyone else ever run into this before? It"s not a fix right now kind of thing but I would much prefer to address the issue before it becomes a big deal.

You could try putting some penetrating oil in it and letting it sit. Could have a bad grease fitting or a problem with the check valve. I think hyd. track adjusters are pretty basic. Maybe see if you can try it without the check valve in?

Yeah man I removed the check valve completely and still couldn"t move the darn thing so this is why I was posting. I am not sure what else I could do to try and free this thing up.

Did you see my reply to your other post with a parts drawing of the check valve, you say that you removed the valve and got the slack you needed to get the pin in but that you could not pump it up,it would not take grease, remove the valve again and see if the grease is passing through it,if not the ball valve is blocking the outlet,if the grease is passing through the piston in the adjuster could be rusted and jammed.
