I found an old cat 12 grader sitting in a pasture, for 5 years, 3 flats and full of wasp. We got 2 tires aired up and to my disbelief , it started. but the clutch is stuck and will not disengage. the throw out bearing is working, but there is oil on the clutch??? should that be there??? I remember my dads old 8N ford would get 90 weight oil on the clutch and it would stick ??? ran through a few gates. lol I was reading about an oil clutch after 1955??? my serial 3 IS 70d1849, which should be 1957 TO 1959. does anyone have any advice??

If it has an access hole, you might be able to get in, spray in some solvent, and wedge the clutch down, and pound on the disc, gently, to break it free. I had a chinese tractor that would do that, if stored for a while, but you could take a loader bracket off, and get into it real easy. I have a feeling something that big ain't gonna be easy...

sounds like it is rusted. Roiling, boiling hot soapy water poured down the access hole breaks a lot of them free. If no access hole you may have to remove the starter to get the water in. Does it have a slave cylinder? Maybe it is dry & needs brake fluid.
