so i am finally back to finishing up my little HD-5. Since i am trying to get the steering clutches wrapped up, i figured i would just have the starter cleaned up. Took it to my starter shop and they called me and said
"parts for this starter dont exist anymore, if all we have to do is clean it up thats fine, but if it needs anything your screwed"
This is the second time in as many months that i have heard starter parts for a 2-71 starter dont exist. So the questions -
will any of the other -71 series starters bolt up?
is there a hidden place somewhere that sells parts for those starters that anybody knows about?
