I am having problems with getting gas to the carb. Cleaned out all lines and gas tank. rebuilt carb. seems as though my fuel pump is bad. Should I just get a new one or can you rebuild this one. Where is a good place to get parts. thanks for reading. norm

We tried a kit for rebuilding our gas fuel pump on the OC 46. It didn't last 2 minutes, before the ethanol ate thru the diaphram. We put an electric fuel pump on it with a filter before the pump and it has been going ever since. We made a plate to cover up the opening in the engine block with a gasket to keep out any debris. We tied the electric fuel pump into the ignition switch with a fuse.
Hope this helps.

What pressure/size fuel pump did you use. sounds like a good way go to me just don"t know what size/pressure pump I need. thanks norm

Anything that makes 4 PSI or less is fine.

All depends how good a pump you want and how far down it has to pump from. One of the most durable electric pumps on the market is the Walro model FRA that runs at 3 PSI. If you want an el-cheapo, get something like a Facet pulse-pump set at 4 PSI. It's a piece of junk and draws gas from not very far below it - but in some setup works well enough. I've got a box full of dead ones that lasted a few years each.

Pinball,
Jd is correct and the most knowledgeable man we've had the pleasure of dealing with, he know his stuff. Heres a couple of pictures of what was on it when we first bought it,had electric, we tried the mechanical, but went back to another electric. We kept the old one for a spare. Ours is 4 psi as JD mentioned, made by Mr. Gasket.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
LOU
