serial number location allis h4 crawler

Can someone tell me where to find the serial number on an allis H4 crawler. Saw a previous post that it was on the rear housing. I looked but couldn"t see any. Is there a plate or is it molded in to the casting. thanks for reading. norm

It's stamped into the front nose-piece framework. The piece that would normally hold the radiator in a machine that had a radiator in front -which the HD4 does not. I had a hard time finding mine too -but finally did. Mine is # 3843. If you know anyone that wants to buy a parts machine with a lot of new parts - send them my way. Great condition set of of dozer tracks and rollers, all parts for a newly rebuilt engine, new steering clutches, finals just done, new ring and pinion, etc. I'm moving out of NY and need this thing gone. 6 way blade dozer machine. $2500 for all.
