Lase sunday my Kubota KX41 spitt a couple of drivers out of one of the rubber tracks.
Monday about noon, I got on this forum and asked for references to where I could get a new track. SC Wayne responded with a link to Rubber Tracks.com. Late monday afternoon I called them in Georgia, and talked to Chris. He was very helpful and said there were 3 different sized tracks for my machine. I had to go out and count the number of drivers, and call him back. Recalled, he gave me a price which was much less than I had invisioned, so I ordered a pair, since the other one was weather checked and cracking also. He said it would be Tuesday before being shipped, and should take 3 days to get here to Central NY. Thursday afternoon, they were here.
It's been rainy here for the past few days, so I didn't try to swap them out until this morning. the whole process took me less than an hour start to finish.
Pulled the greese fittings on the adjuster cylinders, took the bucket and a 2x4 and pushed the front idlers back and poped off one track at a time using a short bar to slip each off the front idler, and then just muscled them to the side. Picked up new track and set it on top of carrage to catch a tooth on the drive sprocket and fired it up and worked it over the sprocket, and then the idler. Let it down on the ground and greesed it back tight. Same on the other side and done. No fuss-no muss, and NO Pinched fingers like you get with coventional tracks on a dozer. Good for another 10 years of trouble free operation, I hope.
