Transmission overflows when i shut it off, leaks a half quart or so, any ideas? Doesn"t matter hot or cold, everything operates as it should. It overflows right out the fill tube.

Is it creating oil? Don't let the ragheads hear about it, they will want to buy it. It has to be coming from somewhere.

So first when and how are you checking it. Second question have you had the floor boards out and is the torque a separate fill unit or is it innerconnected? Could have a seperate fill/check tube?

There are some that have running and off marks, but the majority of transmissions are checked with the engine running, due to the amount of oil drawn into the torque converter, and with the oil hot. As a result, if you fill it to the full mark with the engine off, and cold oil, there will be too much oil in the transmission when you shut the machine down and the oil has expanded from being too hot.

I check it with it running like ou are suppose to. It is full but over time it will get low because of it spilling out, did notice a small hole in bottom of fill tube though. It doesn't overflow when running it only does it when i shut it off.

Hi It shouldn't have a hole at the bottom of the filler tube, theres a small one near the top that is sealed by the dipstick seal.Sounds like the transmission breather is plugged and it is building up pressure in the case, I'm trying to recall where the breather is. I'll check tomorrow at work, we work on these machines all the time. Rocko59
